Objects, that are supported by JSR-184 (Meshes, Lights, Cameras, Bones, Material, Textures, Fog...) can be exported directly from Cinema4D. The plugin creates a scenegraph of the C4D scene and exports the scenegraph to a M3G file. These contents can be also compressed.

JSR-184 supports additional parameters for 3D objects, like EnablePicking, AlphaFactor etc.. These parameters can be attached to a C4D object and so these parameters can be saved in a C4D file for later use.

M3G files can be imported to Cinema4D. M3G objects will be converted to equivalent C4D objects. The imported scenegraph can be saved to a C4D file or edited in Cinema4D and exported back to the M3G file.

Every additional M3G parameter, like EnablePicking, AlphaFactor, can be animated in Cinema4D. The results are directly shown in the editor of Cinema4D. These animations are high configurable, like setting the userID, weight and speed of an animation.
